Dr. King's full quote from that day at Spelman College (Arril 1960) is as follows, and is worth hearing again, as we open a new decade 80 years later.
“Keep moving, for it may well be that the greatest song has not yet been sung, the greatest book has not been written, the highest mountain has not been climbed. This is your challenge! Reach out and grab it… but there is something we can learn from the broken grammar of that mother, that we must keep moving. If you can’t fly, run; if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl; but by all means, keep moving.”
If you are one of our clients, know we intend to keep moving. If you are one of those that we collect from, remember the words of Dr. King, if a debt is your challenge, keep moving forward on chipping it down, and discover new freedom once you have kept moving past your indebtedness.
MLK is not just a long weekend, it is a time to remember that your dreams, your goals, your vision, must be followed. Our thanks go to Dr. King.
